Module 1: Entrepreneurial Initiative and Business Ideas

This module introduced the foundations of entrepreneurship, emphasizing the mindset, tools, and strategies needed to turn ideas into viable ventures.

· Key Highlights:

• Entrepreneurship is a process of identifying opportunities, solving problems, and creating value.

• Successful entrepreneurs demonstrate creativity, leadership, resilience, and adaptability.

• Opportunities arise from market gaps, trends, and unmet needs—and must be evaluated for feasibility.

• Business viability includes technical, economic, legal, commercial, and social dimensions.

• Tools used: SWOT, PESTEL, Business Model Canvas, and Lean Start-up.

• Creativity and innovation are essential for differentiation and growth.

• Explored start-up types, funding stages, and how to build and scale a business from scratch.

Module 2: Developing and Implementing the Business Model

This module focused on transforming a business idea into a structured and validated model.

· Key Highlights:

• Strategic management: mission, vision, objectives, and competitive positioning.

• Value proposition: understanding customer needs using the Value Proposition Canvas.

• Business Model Canvas: mapping how the business creates, delivers, and captures value.

• Validation: interviews, personas, and empathy maps to test assumptions.

• Growth and planning: scaling the business and preparing a solid business plan.

Module 3: Marketing of New Ventures

This module explored how start-ups can leverage marketing to grow effectively.

• Market Analysis: PESTEL and Porter’s 5 Forces to assess the environment and competition.

• Targeting & Segmentation: TAM–SAM–SOM, buyer personas, and STP strategy.

• Consumer Behavior: understanding motivation, culture, and decision-making.

• Marketing Strategy: 4Ps/4Cs, positioning, and value propositions.

• Digital Marketing: SEO, social media, content creation, and integrated campaigns.

• Sales & Forecasting: sales funnels, pricing strategies, and forecasting methods.

• Communication: persuasive storytelling using Logos, Ethos, and Pathos; elevator pitches.

• Networking: building professional relationships online and offline.

Module 4: Financing New Ventures

This module provided a solid foundation in the financial aspects of launching and managing startups.

• Time Value of Money: understanding the value of money over time.

• Investment Evaluation: NPV, IRR, and Payback Period.

• Financial Statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, and Equity Changes.

• Working Capital: managing cash, inventory, and receivables.

• Capital Structure: balancing equity and debt financing.

• Funding Sources: seed capital, angel investors, venture capital, and crowdfunding.

• Valuation & Exit: valuing a start-up and planning exit strategies.

Module 5: Managing and Organizing New Ventures

This module offered practical and strategic insights into managing digital ventures using modern tools and frameworks.

• Digital Business Models: freemium, subscription, two-sided marketplaces, on-demand services, and ad-supported platforms.

• Lean Startup & MVP Testing: building MVPs, testing assumptions, and iterating based on feedback.

• Prototyping & Evolutive Software: using Figma and Just in mind for rapid prototyping.

• Agile Project Management (Scrum): roles, ceremonies, artifacts, and tools like Trello and Kanban.

• Digital Presence & Web Strategy: blogs, SEO, usability, accessibility, and social media integration.

• Legal & Ethical Aspects: business structures, partnership agreements, intellectual property, and GDPR compliance.

• Tools Used: Figma, Just in mind, Trello, Miro and Blogger.
